Are you struggling to find storage space and storage solutions for your small bedroom? Do you want to maximize your bedroom space while containing your things where it makes sense? If so, below are 5 bedroom must-haves that I recommend to ease the struggle of having a small bedroom. Hope you find them helpful!
1) Pillow/throw basket
When you have decorative pillows, multiple sleeping pillows and throws for your bed, putting them somewhere accessible is important. I put mine in a basket beside my bed. The velvet texture and colour of the basket (from Winners - $30 Cdn) adds sultriness to my bedroom.

2) Laundry hamper
A laundry hamper may not necessarily be an obvious storage idea but it not only doubles as a decor piece in your bedroom but also helps you sort out your dirty clothes where they belong--away and out of sight. Having laundry net bags (pictured inside the hamper below) in various sizes also helps you separate your clothes, socks, bras, etc. After all, who wants your clothes smelling like dirty socks because they have been marinating together in the basket? Laundry net bags also protect your clothes in the washer and make them last longer. The collapsible laundry hamper below is from IKEA and under $10!

3) Bra organizer
I love bra organizers as it helps you see what kind of bras you have and keep them contained. There are organizers where you can spread your bra out as opposed to folding them (which are better to maintain their shape), but I don’t have a big closet section so the organizer (from Wal-Mart) pictured is one option.

4) Basket for socks
Do you have trouble finding your socks or matching pairs of them? Rolling them at the top (see photo) and putting them in a storage basket solves the problem. Having a home for your socks is one less thing to worry about in the morning or whenever you need to wear them. Although putting sucks in a basket like the one below (from Dollarama) may not necessarily sort them out, grouping them together makes them easier to find.

5) Underbed storage
Maximizing storage space in a small home is of utmost important. You have to look up but also down for such spaces. I like to use my underbed space for things that I don't use often, such as empty bags and boxes. Storing things under the bed is accessible enough so that I don't forget the location of such items. Other people may want to use such spaces for their less used clothing and other items. Using an underbed organizer such as the one below helps to organize and contain your items.
